Andy Watson

Andy Watson is Head of Core, Continental Europe at LaSalle Investment Management with additional oversight of all retail acquisitions in Continental Europe. Since he joined LaSalle in May 2004, the acquisitions team has purchased over 3.0 billion € of property in over 40 transactions, including some 1.2 billion € in retail. Andy has been responsible for LaSalle’s services to Encore+ since inception of the Fund in June 2006.

Andy has 20 years’ experience in real estate. After six years with Weatherall, Green and Smith, four of which were spent in Frankfurt and Berlin, Andy has now lived and worked in Paris for over 14 years. In this time he spent eight years at the Retail Consulting Group (RCG), where he was an equity partner in the management buyout of the French business from Matthews and Goodman UK. At RCG he was responsible for investment and valuation business, where his team acted for the purchaser on Continental Europe’s largest shopping centre investment deals in three of four years from 2000 to 2003; Klepierre/Carrefour in 2000, Corio/Trema in 2001 and Simon Property Group/Auchan in 2003.

Andy is a graduate of Oxford University with a degree in German and French Literature, and is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).
